The Atlantic Gateway-Halifax Logistics Park is within Burnside - the largest business park north of Boston and east of Montreal. Located within 15 km of the port’s container terminals, it offers extensive cross-docking capabilities for efficient consolidation of shipments from 40 ft. containers into 53 ft. trailers for over-the-road or rail furtherance with regional and inland markets.
As the first inbound port call in North America for westbound imports from Europe, the Med and Asia via the Suez, importers can land their cargo in North America two days faster than any other port. This means quicker delivery to final destination.
As the last outbound port call in North America for eastbound exports to Europe, you can take advantage of early week production to make the last vessel departing North America for just-in-time delivery in Europe. That’s up to a two-day advantage!
Halifax currently provides transloading services for several major North American retailers and exporters. Learn more about why transloading at Halifax makes sense.
